What people are saying about Trey Martin's books
"Albert the Elephant" is a wonderful story about what happens to an elephant who isn't like other elephants. At first he is embarrassed and humiliated by the difference, but then, in a great twist, the author leads Albert to use his difference to benefit others. And just like that Albert's differences become something to celebrate. This book is an excellent book for any child living with a disability but, in all truth, it's a good book for ANY child. Because in the end we are all different and embracing our differences by finding the way they count for the good is surely what life is all about. I look forward to the next book by this author."
Nicola Freemont, Author/Parent
"This is a great book for elementary age kids! It's a timely topic written by someone who knows the real pain of being bullied. Every school library should own a copy. It would be a good Christmas gift and a great way to start a conversation with your kids about bullying."
Lisa Neuberger, Teacher/Author

"Delightful story and illustrations for kids, teens and families. As a psychologist with my own special needs children, I will use this book at home and at work. I can even imagine using it therapeutically with adults who are taunted or abused socially for being different. It can be useful for both those being bullied to find their talents, and with others to think more creatively about the differently-abled. Can't wait to see what other stories this young writer has coming."
Marla Kahn, Ph.D.
"This is a story that is wonderful for all ages. Sometimes I think we forget to have tolerance towards those that are different from ourselves - be it race, color, gender and intellectual. Hopefully there is good in all of us. May we have all have more compassion for all all."
Maegean Smith, Grandparent
"This book was absolutely perfect to read to my little niece and nephew. Albert teaches children that it’s okay to be different. Trey is an excellent author and really knows how to reach his audience!"
